Hammersley Turquoise Enamel & Gold Tea Cup & Royal Chelsea Saucer
Nice bone china tea cup and similar saucer. The cup is decorated with turquoise enamel and gold gilt floral and scrollwork designs. The cup is marked on the bottom with puce Ovington Brothers New York above H&Co England mark. The H&CO England mark was used by Hammersley. Circa 1887 to 1912. The saucer has a similar pattern in gold with turquoise enamel jewels and is marked Royal Chelsea English Bone China Made in England.
Has crazing typical of bone china some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
The cup measures approximately 5 1/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/2 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
